Dynhestar – Riding Tours

From June to October we offer a variety of different horse trips for advanced riders. Depending on the size of the group, we take up to 70 riding horses with us. Most of them are bred and trained by us. It is very important to us to find the perfect horse for everyone, so that the trip becomes an unforgettable adventure for you.

We ride with a herd of free running horses the way Icelanders have traveled for centuries. It is truly an extraordinary experience!

All our luggage and necessary equipment is transported between the stopovers. The average daily riding time is 4-7 hours. Accommodation is provided in hostels and guesthouses.

According to the old tradition of travelling on horses in Iceland, we take extra horses along so that you can change horses every now and then. This makes the ride even more enjoyable as we give our riding horses recovery time so that they stay motivated. We also have extra horses for the necessary equipment such as the picnic, rain gear, extra shoes for the horses etc. To ensure a relaxed atmosphere we have limited the size of the groups to 12 persons + guides.

We provide rain gear and helmets for you if needed. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes or boots and gloves.
